We Christians should not be shaken by what is happening in the world. We know that we are in the world but not of it. We operate by the principles that govern the kingdom of God. Therefore our lives and especially the finances should not be threatened by the global recession. Christians should learn to trust in God and exercise faith during these times. Has God promised you prosperity, financial abundance and greatness, this is a great time for him to show off his glory through you.
In the Bible, great men of God experienced supernatural abundance in times of extreme disasters. Isaac for one was one person who enjoyed God's provision in a time of famine. He wanted to go down to Egypt so as to avoid the harsh drought that surrounded them. God told him not to do it and he would be with him where he was. He decided to trust God and he sowed in the same land and reaped a hundrend fold.
This must have been very extraordinary for people around him who were dying from hunger. In Isaac's land, people had more than enough. The scenario was all green and animals well fed. Am sure people came from all over to see this extraordinary happening in the land of Isaac. This is what God wants you to experience, abundance and supernatural overflow in your land when the world is crying from hunger. God wants to show off his power through you so as the world can change their ways and return to their creator.
